In the heart of Kampala’s slums, young people are stepping up as change agents. Mulungi MobileMedics Initiative (MMI) identifies and trains Youth Eco-Leaders — passionate individuals who champion environmental action, health awareness, and clean-up campaigns within their communities.
These youth are mentored in waste management, tree planting, sanitation practices, and community mobilization. They then serve as role models, mobilizing peers and educating households about daily habits that impact the environment.
From school clubs to slum corners, MMI Youth Eco-Leaders lead the charge — cleaning, educating, advocating, and planting hope one neighborhood at a time.
