Impact in Uganda

Whether you’re an individual, a local group, or a global partner. Rooted in the realities of Kampala’s urban slums, MMI connects passionate changemakers and environmental activists from around the world, building a united front to combat pollution, restore dignity to neglected communities, and drive lasting ecological transformation. Through collective action, we turn local clean-up efforts into a global movement for environmental justice and healthier urban living.

Urban Greening

Over 1,000 trees and small gardens have been planted in densely populated slums, improving air quality and beautifying space.

Waste Innovation

By supporting recycling and reuse, MMI has turned plastic waste into usable items like eco-bricks, reducing pollution in Kampala.

Youth Mobilization

MMI has trained more than 300 young people as "Eco Champions" to lead and sustain neighborhood sanitation and awareness efforts.

Drainage Restoration

Led efforts to clear and rehabilitate blocked drainage channels in Makindye, reducing floods and mosquito-borne diseases.
